Terms of service

1. 1Agreement

   These Terms govern your access to and use of the FixPrompt website and services (the “Service”). By creating an account, submitting a URL or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

   You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.

2. 2What the Service does

   FixPrompt performs passive, non-intrusive security checks on public web addresses you submit: it loads public pages the way a normal visitor would, reads response headers, cookies, scripts and well-known paths, and produces a prioritized report with suggested fixes. It does not attempt to exploit, brute-force, overload or access non-public areas.

   Reports are generated automatically, in part with automated analysis, and may contain errors, false positives or omissions. The Service is an aid, not a penetration test, audit or certification, and does not guarantee that a system is secure.

3. 3Authorization to scan

   You may only submit URLs for systems you own or are expressly authorized to test. You represent and warrant that you have that authority and that scanning does not violate any law, contract or third-party right, including computer misuse and anti-hacking laws in your jurisdiction.

   You are solely responsible for the URLs you submit and the consequences of scanning them. Requests are sent from our infrastructure using an identifiable user agent, and we may disclose information to a site owner or authority where required by law or to prevent abuse.

4. 4Accounts

   You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may limit anonymous or free usage, including by rate limits, to protect the Service.

5. 5Credits, payments and refunds

   The first scan may be offered free with part of the findings locked. Full reports are unlocked with a one-time payment or by spending credits from a prepaid pack. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Prices are shown before checkout and may change for future purchases; applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

   Payments are handled by Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record. Polar collects payment and any applicable sales tax or VAT, issues your invoice and receipt, and its own terms apply to the transaction; we do not receive or store full card details. Credits are tied to your account, are not transferable, have no cash value and do not expire while your account is active.

   If a scan cannot run because of a problem on our side or because the submitted URL is invalid or blocked by our safeguards, the credit is returned automatically. Because reports are digital content delivered immediately, purchases of delivered reports are otherwise non-refundable, except where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to a refund or withdrawal. Contact us if you believe you were charged in error.

6. 6Acceptable use

   You agree not to:

   • scan systems without authorization, or use the Service to plan or carry out an attack;
   • attempt to bypass rate limits, request-safety controls or access restrictions, including by pointing the scanner at private, internal or local addresses;
   • probe, overload or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
   • resell, scrape or redistribute the Service or reports in bulk without our written consent;
   • use the Service in violation of applicable law.

   We may suspend or terminate accounts, and refuse scans, that we reasonably believe breach these rules.

7. 7Your content and our rights

   You keep all rights in your applications and data. You grant us a limited license to process the URLs and the public content we retrieve, solely to provide and secure the Service. Reports generated for you may be used by you freely, including in your own projects and with your own tools.

   The Service, its software, checks, design and branding belong to FixPrompt and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

8. 8Third-party services and technology

   The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting and infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery and automated analysis. Their availability and terms may affect the Service. Suggested fixes and prompts may reference third-party tools; we are not responsible for those tools or for changes you make to your systems using them. Review and test any change before deploying it.

9. 9Disclaimers

   The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that reports will identify every vulnerability.

10. 10Limitation of liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, FixPrompt will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or business, arising from your use of the Service, including from security incidents affecting your systems.

    Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. 11Indemnity

    You will defend and indemnify FixPrompt against claims, losses and costs arising from URLs you submit without authorization, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

12. 12Suspension and termination

    You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms, legal requirements or risk to the Service. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.

13. 13Changes to the Service or Terms

    We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

14. 14Governing law and contact

    These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the FixPrompt operating entity, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
